Highwood’s personal one-to-one service for new home buyers continues
As the coronavirus pandemic continues to restrict so much of our daily lives, it’s reassuring to know that the property market appears to be experiencing a post-lockdown boom and that people who want to move are doing just that.
Last week in its monthly House Price Index, Halifax reported that the average UK house price was up 5.2% on the same month last year and that property values had risen by 1.6%*. At £245,747, this is the first time the average price has risen over £245,000 and annual growth is the strongest for almost four years.
This news is certainly reflected at Highwood’s North Stoneham Park development in Eastleigh where we’ve seen new home sales continue to thrive with more properties being reserved and completed on than we could ever have anticipated when the lockdown was introduced in March. Whilst demand is likely to have been fuelled by the recent stamp duty cut that will continue until 31st March 2021 and the eagerness of would-be purchasers to finally get moving after lockdown, we’re continuing to receive encouraging feedback about the difference our COVID19-compliant measures has made to our buyers.
In May we announced that all unaccompanied viewings and one-to-one meetings at North Stoneham Park would be strictly by appointment alongside appropriate social distancing and hygiene measures, giving our visitors all the additional time and personal service they need to make the right choices on a new home purchase.
We’re continuing to run through our safety procedures with our guests when they arrive on site and, with dedicated sanitiser stations, social distancing signage, floor markings and deep cleaning processes in place, our prospective purchasers are happy to enjoy the personal attention in peace and safety.
