Highwood projects remain on track despite third national lockdown
Like most businesses, Highwood was disappointed to be seeing the New Year in with a third national lockdown but, fortunately, having already implemented our updated processes and safety measures back in May when the first lockdown ended, we were prepared. We’re thankful the government remains committed to giving priority to the construction industry and the UK’s property purchasers, which has enabled us to keep all our construction sites open and buyers moving.
Our active care home and development projects, including our 70-bed care home at the Island site in Basingstoke, our 68-bed Snowdrop Place Care Home in Hedge End and the latest phase of construction at North Stoneham Park, continue to show how we can deliver projects safely and protect those who want to make their move during lockdown. We’re proud that all our current developments remain on track and in line with our build schedules, which is testament to the extraordinary efforts our people on site and in our head office are making.
At the Park, our teams have meticulous safety protocols in place and househunters are enjoying the extra time and attention they receive when they come to see us. All visitors are asked to visit by appointment only, to wear a mask and to check in using the Test & Trace app. All meetings are one-to-one and viewings of our show homes are unaccompanied, which gives would-be purchasers all the time they need to explore every new home. We also have a great collection of virtual fly-throughs on the North Stoneham Park Gallery, so tours of our show homes can be taken without even leaving home.
