“These are undoubtedly some of the most challenging times many of us have ever experienced, but at the heart of everything we do here at Highwood is a commitment to protect our people and partners and to safeguard the projects we all work so hard to deliver.
As the COVID-19 crisis continues to develop, we’ve taken great care to introduce measures to keep everyone as safe as possible, with personnel working from home wherever possible and conducting virtual meetings to keep our projects and plans on course.
However, as it has become increasingly difficult to balance the continuance of site operations with maintaining adequate health and safety for the teams who work on our construction sites across the south coast, we have now made the decision to cease work on these developments with immediate effect. This step is temporary and made solely with the welfare of our workforce and supply chain partners in mind. We remain hopeful this temporary measure will be a short-term measure, but we will continue to monitor the situation closely.
We must also remain proud that, thanks to great work of our people, the Highwood community is superbly positioned to navigate the current crisis and emerge from it stronger as we continue to nurture the exciting projects that are at various stages in our pipeline.
In the meantime, we’ll provide further updates when we have news – if you have any concerns or questions about how we’re adapting to the current challenges, please contact us.
Finally, thank you for your support at this difficult time, we wish you good health and a safe return to work in due course.”
