An imposing landmark building of stunning retirement apartments along with assisted living units and independent living apartments

As part of the wider North Stoneham Park project, Highwood is developing a stunning retirement village scheme, the North Stoneham Retirement Community, a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), in the South Stoneham Park area at Park Farm. The scheme will include a landmark mansion-style 40-bed care home, 42 luxurious care suites and 91 close care apartments and will help to meet the demand for high-quality care provision long into the future.

The project will be delivered for Highwood’s leading care partner, Cinnamon Retirement Living having receiving overwhelming backing by both Eastleigh Borough Council and Test Valley Borough Council who share jurisdiction over the land.

Set within the grounds of North Stoneham Park’s vast site, this historic landscape has a history that can be traced back to the Saxon era. More recently, it was used by the landowning Fleming family’s workers who lived in the grounds and grew their produce for the original North Stoneham House in the walled garden. These areas will be enhanced as part of a substantial programme of environmental improvements to be implemented during the construction period.

A safe, stylish and secure lifestyle for those in their later years

The North Stoneham Retirement Community comprises a prestigious 7000 sq.m., mansion-style building that pays homage to the site’s heritage and will offer 40 luxurious, high quality care suites along with a wealth of fabulous facilities, including a restaurant, impressive lounges, spa, salon and swimming pool and enviable communal spaces.

The state-of-the-art retirement community will offer a wide range of care packages to those in the care home, the care suites and close care apartments. These fabulous new homes will sit within acres of landscaped gardens and represent a safe, stylish and secure lifestyle for those in their later years.

A crucial final element in the Park development

The North Stoneham Retirement Community scheme represents a crucial final element in the North Stoneham Park development, which will now cater for the very young in the new nursery and school through to the elderly. It will bring new life to the former Coach House and the listed wall, provide a new woodland walk and arboretum and deliver a prestigious building for Avenue Park.

Plans for this exciting new care village were heard and universally supported by both borough councils in June 2020 and construction is set to commence later this year.
