Highwood is building a prestigious retirement village in Ampfield, on the north western edge of Chandlers Ford in Hampshire, for award-winning retirement communities’ operator, Inspired Villages. 

This state-of-the-art development will offer 149 luxury apartments for the over 65s, all lying around a beautiful village centre setting on a 10.3 acre site enclosed by natural woodland.  

Ampfield Meadows Retirement Village has been designed to promote wellbeing and comfort with all that’s needed to help residents lead healthy, independent lives on this fabulous. The luxurious apartments are set in beautifully landscaped gardens with access to stunning community facilities that will include a wellness spa and gym, a stylish brasserie, bistro and café.

Award-winning construction and control

The site has a natural fall to it and the landscape has been designed to embrace that topology as well as provide safe accessibility across the entire estate for its residents and visitors.

Work began on the site in June 2021 and, in March 2023, the site team was presented with a Quality Recognition Award. The Premier Guarantee Excellence Awards recognise the UK’s best developments that are covered by its structural warranty and building control schemes. You can read the full story here.
