Five years of challenging strategic planning promotion and an assembly landowners

One of our most complex projects to date, the plan to construct 326 homes on the popular Hunts Pond Road site in Locks Heath took almost five years of planning promotion through Fareham Borough Council; the site perfectly illustrates our success through effective, strategic planning promotion.

Highwood completed the project an incredible 25 weeks ahead of schedule

The land concerned extends to some 70 acres and comprised an assembly of multiple landowners, the majority of whose back gardens were included within the scheme.

When the total planning consent for 326 dwellings was finally granted, Highwood began work on the construction of 130 affordable houses and apartments in a stunning New England style for First Wessex, which manages around 18,000 affordable homes in Hampshire. Highwood completed the project an incredible 25 weeks ahead of schedule.

Extensive ecological protection works and responsibly sourced building materials

This development forms part of the urban regeneration zone and incorporated extensive ecological protection works, responsibly sourced building materials, compliance with Code Level 3 and use of solar panels for hot water.

Once planning was duly secured, construction on the site quickly got underway and, with the entire project to create more than 320 stylish new homes completed on schedule, the Hunts Pond Road development became one of our stand-out sites.
