Highwood’s substantial nursing home development and extra care apartments at Dukes Meadow in Waterlooville have significantly enhanced our exciting portfolio of high-end retirement and care developments.
This 80-bed care home development has been undertaken in collaboration with our trusted care partner, Cinnamon Care and is set just over a mile from Waterlooville town centre, forming part of the larger MDA site.
This modern care home comprises a three-storey building constructed in a contemporary style using a considered mix of modern and traditional materials on a timber frame. The building sits within extensive gardens for exclusive use of the residents to enjoy the outdoor space and to participate in communal gardening activities.
Highwood’s work was recognised for its outstanding property development quality on this project when we were crowned Winner of Best Inclusive Building at the LABC Building Excellence Awards 2017 ceremony, which represents all local authority building control teams in England and Wales and acknowledges the achievements of building professionals.
On the adjacent site, Highwood is developing an extra care scheme of 48 apartments that are being sold on the open market. With integral balconies and Highwood’s trademark high-class finishes to all kitchens and bathrooms, these new homes incorporate the very latest in discriminating care quality.
