Highwood’s Stage Two application referred to 514 dwellings, Stage Three for 39 and Stage Four sought approval for 18 new homes to bring the number of new dwellings at the Park to 1100. The consent comes on the back of the successful detailed Stage 1 application for 564 new homes that will be built on land to the east of these schemes in the grand former deer park.

EVERYONE INVOLVED IN THIS LANDMARK PROJECT WELCOMED THE COUNCIL’S DECISION

Simon Beech, Land & Sales Director

‘We’re delighted the Council’s Planning Committee has chosen to grant approval for these applications, particularly since we collaborated so closely to achieve a solution that would benefit the entire community,’ he said. ‘This consent was crucial to the development – particularly as it represents an invaluable solution to the area’s housing shortfall and a generous contribution to the demand for affordable housing in Eastleigh as well as offering a raft of new amenities on site.

‘Eastleigh’s Mayor now having broken first ground, construction at the Park has finally begun and the local community will, at last, be able to see work within this beautiful woodland setting start to take shape.’
