When Highwood’s Sales team received a thank-you card from the Amungwa family, we were so touched by their heartfelt words that we invited them all over to one of the Park’s most popular show homes for an afternoon of celebration, fun and photography to capture it all. The event was so successful that the family has quickly become the face of the Park development.
‘Dear the NSP Marketing Team, thank you for my bedroom, I really love it’ (Chissy, 4)
Having received sentiments from the children such as ‘I believe a home and a house are two very different things and I think you have definitely given us a home’ (Eilise, 12) and ‘Thank you for making this lovely house and supporting my parents’ (Elisha, 9), our Customer Care team couldn’t wait to meet the grateful names behind the card.
Parents, Linda and Richard, and children Eilise, Elisha, Chissy and Aumsi (2) explained how exciting their move to a Highwood home at the Park had been and how ‘amazing and outstanding’ the support they’d received from the Highwood Sales and Customer Care teams had been.
‘We moved in this January,’ explained Linda. ‘However, our journey to our new home actually began in the summer of 2018 when we decided to move from our townhouse in Eastleigh that was struggling to accommodate our growing family. We didn’t want to move the children from their schools and we wanted a home that was safe, with plenty of space, great local amenities and plenty of green spaces around it.
‘We fell in love with the five-bedroom Chatsworth home and put our names down on two plots so we wouldn’t lose our dream home choice and, when the homes were released in April 2019, our decision was made.’
The new home was a secret until moving day
‘We visited the Park often to follow progress as our home was being built and were impressed at the foresight that Highwood showed and how they went the extra mile to ensure every detail would be perfect for us – the builders even went as far as building a vast retaining wall to avoid us having a sloping back garden.’
Incredibly, Linda and Richard kept the entire move a secret from the children until the day they all moved in. As they drove the children into the Park, they had to keep their eyes closed until they arrived on the driveway – it’s fair to say it was an emotional moment for everyone when the front door to their new Highwood home was open and reality set in.
Highwood was delighted to share their excitement when they spent a fun afternoon with us telling us all about how life has changed for them and exploring one of our favourite show homes at North Stoneham Park together. We captured the highlights of the day on film and were so impressed with the results that we asked Linda and Richard if we could use them to spread the word about how good life at the Park can be.
We’re currently working on including the entire family as part of our marketing strategy and look forward to following their journey in the months and years to come.
