Representatives from Eastleigh Borough Council, including Councillor Keith House – who described the Park as ‘a very impressive scheme involving great build quality and imagination’ – and Councillor Paul Bicknell saw Highwood Director, Nigel Meek and Vivid CEO, Mark Perry, cut the ribbon to the new marketing suite and showhome.
The first of two launch events, which marked the climactic point of many years’ collaboration between Highwood and project partners, Eastleigh Borough Council and Vivid as well as many property professionals, included a champagne reception with a special toast from Highwood Managing Director, Guy Hayward.
‘Today’s event represents the culmination of an extraordinary vision by the principal directors of Highwood over many years,’ he announced. ‘Together, we wanted to create a vibrant new community in an historic parkland setting and to break free from the traditional concept of housebuilding. We’ve already made great progress at the Park; with over 100,000 bricks and 1000 tonnes of tarmac laid, our vision is fast becoming a superb reality.’
Quality of construction and stunning specifications
Following Guy’s praise for the development’s consultant teams’ ‘professionalism, diligence and support’, the two new buildings were declared open. Invited guests took the opportunity to explore the marketing suite and its outstanding displays, which include a superb scale model of the development and a vast array of stunning specifications and finishings that will be applied to every new home.
Adjacent to the marketing suite, the new showhome opened its doors and was quickly filled with guests who were delighted to see the exceptional quality of construction, beautiful interiors and stylish finishing touches first-hand after months of speculation about how the houses would sit within the incredible Park landscape.
The day after the first guests were given their exclusive preview, North Stoneham Park again played host to around 200 prospective purchasers who had already expressed an interest in a new home and were keen to discover more about the different house types that will be available to buy and where they sit within the Park environment.
