Highwood’s flagship later-years project

Langstone Court was our first venture into retirement development and it remains Highwood’s flagship later-years project. From the early concept phase to design and create superb, high specification accommodation within a delightful landscaped setting, it was clear we were offering offered a new generation of retirement living.

The development includes 24-hour emergency assistance, hairdressing facilities, a small gymnasium and a family room that even provides games consoles for visiting children. Langstone Court also boasts a number of relaxing communal areas for residents to entertain family and friends along with guest accommodation for overnight stays.

The first project in Hampshire to incorporate a care home and retirement complex on the same site

All 50 luxury retirement apartments have been sold and residents continue to enjoy stunning, high quality homes with a range of outstanding essential facilities on site. Our focus was on safety, security, comfort and peace of mind, so we built everything that older homeowners valued in their retirement years into two residential blocks at Langstone Court.

This scheme called for a very detailed scope of works that set a new standard in this demanding market sector. Indeed, this project became the first in Hampshire to incorporate a care home and retirement complex on the same site. Our construction of Hamilton House Care Home, a 60-bed care home, was duly completed and handed over to our development partner, Southern Cross, a year later

My wife and I moved to Royal Court after 25 years living in a detached house in a small town.  he apartment is large compared to other retirement apartments, having been finished to the highest standards and includes all the latest equipment. We decided to buy our apartment as it offers so much with everything we need close at hand.
