Highwood breaks ground at second world-class neuro rehab centre in Surrey
Just weeks after Highwood broke ground on the first neurological rehabilitation centre in Southampton, a ceremony has been held to mark the start of construction on another world-class neuro unit in Camberley in Surrey.
Highwood joined leading healthcare developer, Hamberley Development, and specialist care provider, Hamberley Neurocare, to celebrate the project team breaking ground at the site on Fernhill Road. The new, multi-million pound Hamberley Neurocare Camberley will provide rehabilitation, respite, long-term and palliative care for people with complex medical needs. These include brain and spinal injuries as well as neurodegenerative conditions such as Parkinson’s and Huntington’s diseases.
With state-of-the-art therapy and medical consulting rooms, rehab equipment, robotic technology and 58 en suite bedrooms, the new rehab centre will support the nearby Frimley Park Hospital and offer vital neurological services for the region.
