Armed with a serious training plan that saw David and his team participate in boot camps and trail runs in preparation, the men completed the arduous 5k course that tested their mental and physical strength and forced them work as a team to overcome the challenge.
‘The course consisted of many different obstacles,’ David explains. ‘They ranged from electroshocks to crawling under barbed wire and lots of very cold muddy water to swim and struggle through. We completed the course as a team and helped each other along the way to ensure we crossed the line together. I would recommend this course to anyone that fancies a challenge and I’m already looking forward to doing the longer course next year.
‘In total we raised a staggering £6000 between us, which will go to helping and supporting individuals who suffer with various mental health issues, so I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who donated – we had some very generous donations that I really appreciate and I’m certain the money will go a long way.’
