Following a remarkable year of high profile development across the South, Highwood Group’s Construction division has dramatically bolstered its team with a series of appointments that will ensure it continues to meet the demand for its distinctive projects.
Led by Managing Director, Guy Hayward, and fellow directors, Steve Matthews and Paul Woodward, Highwood Construction is proud to announce the appointment of seven high calibre management professionals who all bring invaluable industry experience to the team.
Managing Surveyor, Elliot Lord, has accrued a wealth of care home, open market and HA housing project expertise thanks to schemes undertaken in the UK and overseas and has been bought in to oversee all Highwood commercial activities. Zoe Clarke is a highly qualified Senior Surveyor with wide ranging experience from archeologically sensitive housing projects to housing estate regeneration while newly appointed Project Manager, Chris Curtis, has led a raft of substantial schemes, including the Olympic Sailing Village in Portland. Tim Higginson joins Highwood as Contracts Manager following an exemplary career that has taken him from construction projects in Asia to the quality delivery of care homes and private residential schemes in the UK.
As Highwood Construction’s new Senior Estimator who brings a wealth of housing and care experience, Sharon Robinson has been tasked with leading new bids and cost planning for the Group while Steve Newman (Project Manager) will rely on his extensive project management experience to complete the prestigious Adderbury care home development near Banbury.
Site Manager, John Huckfield, has vast experience on commercial and residential projects over the last 25 years, which stands him in good stead for his work at Highwood’s new 90-bed Camberley care home scheme. John Black is the team’s new Assistant Design Coordinator with a remit to devise multiple care home schemes to the value of £5.5m. Colin Paddock began work in the construction industry in 1978, moving into renovation and site management covering social house, commercial and residential development; he joins Highwood as Project Manager working on the exciting Camberley care home scheme.
‘Highwood Group has long been renowned for its vast bank of in-house property expertise,’ explains Guy Hayward. ‘Today, thanks to a strategic expansion of our Construction division, we’re now even better positioned to meet the demand for our own brand of outstanding buildings, beautiful homes and community schemes that we’re continually associated with.
