The opportunity to develop a plot of redundant land was introduced to First Wessex by Highwood Estates and the build contract began in earnest in June 2004.
This £2.1m project was designed to utilise redundant land
adjacent to the Heron Public House on Petersfield Road in Havant and comprised
34 one and two-bedroom apartments. Traditionally constructed and sensitively
designed, the Angela Court scheme scored highly on its ecological contribution
and innovative build methods, including its use of pre-assembled en-suite
The 24 apartments was successfully completed and handed over
to First Wessex Housing Association in July 2005 when the new homes were
allocated for both shared ownership and open market lets.
